Dave Abrahams

A multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter, Dave specializes in Hawaiian slack key guitar (ki hōʻalu). In 2003, after decades playing rock, jazz, and bluegrass, he was introduced to the rich tapestry of Hawaiian music and it captured his heart. He has studied under some of the great Slack Key masters, including Keola Beamer, Ledward Ka’apana, George Kahumoku, Jr., Sonny Lim, and Jeff Peterson. Besides performing solo, Dave supplies the slack key element in Ka La’i O Mele, a popular Bay Area Hawaiian group.
